I’m cleaning my bedroom and listening to Michael Lynch’s Ready Steady A Go Go podcast. It’s reminding me of when Audra, Lisa and I met Dawn Eden In New York City when she was deejaying at Pop Gear. I had so much fun that night dancing to 60’s music (with other people since everyday I dance to 60’s music but I am always by myself).
Last night Lisa came over and we went to TJMaxx. We went with no real objective. I ended up trying on a whole bunch of dresses. Only one fit and Lisa talked me into buying it. SHE SHOULD BE THE ONE IS SALES, NOT ME! I say this as I sit here looking at a green ball gown wondering when I will ever– EVER wear it.
Bad news. Years ago I bought two pieces of REAL art. My cousin Johnny used to work at the Holly Solomon Gallery in NYC. One of their exhibitions was for the artist Virgil Marti. Johnny told me I should buy two of his silk screened prints of 70’s yearbook photos on mirrors. I think I paid 75.00 each. Johnny told me these would be an incredible investment better than any stock. I don’t know about that but I did hang them up in my hallway and yesterday I noticed one of them had fallen and now hosts a scratch down the boy’s face. It’s a good thing I never bought a Rembrandt. “Uh, it just kinda fell and broke, I’m sorry.”
