Typical

Today was my first day of commuting to the new Philadelphia office. I got there at 8:30 sharp! The commute from door to door was just about an hour. Not bad at all! Much better than the 2 hour commute to Manhattan. The nicest part is that I emerge from the train station directly in front of my building! This will be perfect during the winter. At any rate, I unlocked the office door and to my surprise I found a man painting the hallway. Not only was the only person in the office a painter, but the offices were devoid of furniture, equipment, and an Internet connection. I called my boss and he said he was about an hour away and I should call the IT guy who was bringing the phones and equipment. The IT guy told me he was in Connecticut and wouldn’t get into Philly until well after lunch. Instead of sitting on the floor and trying to connect to an unsecure network, I decided to cut my losses and go home.

Let’s hope the office is in better shape tomorrow!
