I awoke at 4 and left the house around 4:45. I met my Aunt Helen at the bus station around 5:45. We got to the studio and were one of the last ones admitted.

Seating occurred around 8:45 and Aunt Helen and I were seated in the FRONT ROW! The show hasn’t changed since the last time I watched it which was sometime in the mid-90’s. The one thing that I found rather surprising was how artificial the conversation seemed between Regis and Kelly. It felt like such an act yet on the monitor it looked fine. I don’t know how that works. Roseanne Baar Arnold was the first guest. I felt so bad for her. At one time she was on top of the world yet this morning she was on the Regis and Kelly show dressed like a cowgirl singing a song about a donut tree. The next guest was Tia Carrere. She was absolutely beautiful and surprisingly tiny. For some odd reason I thought she was a big girl. Talking about tiny, Kelly was absolutely skeletal. I coveted the dress she wore– it was lovely.

The most interesting part was watching the people behind the camera. It was facinating seeing what goes on behind the scenes.

After the show, my aunt and I walked around NY. We went to Teresa’s Polish restaurant and had pierogies, halupki, and potato pancakes. It was delicious. We continued walking around the city. We stopped in a few shops and I gingerly touched dresses that cost more than my sofa. I think we caught the 4:00 bus back to New Brunswick. Traffic was intense but I finally got home around 6ish. It was a great day. THANK YOU, AUNT HELEN!!!
