I just read the most horrifying celebrity interview. I subscribe to Marie Claire mainly because I like their 101 ideas section. It’s a bunch of pictures of pretty outfits. I know, how silly, but I love it. So I am reading Marie Claire and there is an interview with Charlize Theron. Here are a few excerpts:
The cornerstone of Theron’s confidence has long been a relationship with her mother, Gerda… They’ve enjoyed a closeness that wasn’t hindered by the strict punishments Gerda used to keep her daughter in line…. What did Theron’s mother hit her with? “Whatever was around: a hairbrush, a shoe- the shoe was a big one,” Theron says… “I went to school with imprints of Disney cartoons all over my thigh from a hanger that she had grabbed that had all these cutouts on them.”
WAIT, IT GETS BETTER!
Their closeness endured after Gerda, in self-defence, shot her husband to death in front of 15-year-old Charlize’s eyes.
What in the world!?!?

Jeez, i thought everyone knew that. Chrarlize is exactly 3 weeks older than i am too.
Well, I didn’t know that! These events in her disturbed life are the cornerstone of her confidence??? hmmmmm.
Thank you, Jan. I thought the same thing!
All together now, can you say disfunctional? How about child abuse?
I’m sure that she and her mother have a terrific relationship, her father is deceased, so it is just the two of them.
I would stay on Gerda’s good side.
