I survived. It was a good day. Glenn is so nice and I feel comfortable with him. This was our second date and already I have met 2 of his friends. Do you know that in all the years I was with Heiko, I never met a single one of his friends? We walked all over New York City and hit most of the tourist attractions.
He dropped me off and I invited him in. It was after midnight but Lisa was up and I introduced them. Although I am quite sure Lisa was sloshed, she was very well behaved. After Glenn left, Lisa rushed over to tell me that she approved of him. I told her that I hadn’t noticed it on the first date but on this date I realized that Glen is a dork.
“Oh Donna! You are a dork too!”
“And I think that is why I like him.”
“The thing is Donna, you really aren’t a dork— you just insist on hanging onto that last vestige of dorkness”
“What is my last vestige of dorkness?”
“Audra”
This made me laugh very hard. Audgie, you are responsible for my dorkness! I guess I am indebted to you!
At any rate, I was dressed appropriately and my mules worked fine on my feet.
OH! We went to the Museum of Television and Radio! I can’t tell you how long I have wanted to visit this place. We got there a little late and so the cashier only charged us 2.00 each! There was a retrospective on Elvis’s early television appearances in Screening Room 5 and so of course that is where I immediately headed. What does it say when I’ve seen all the clips before? We headed to the “Pick your own clip from our extensive library” room. I was like a kid in a candy store. Let’s search for Rip Taylor in Siegmund and the Sea Monster! Do you think they have Misfits of Science? How about that Coke commerical with all the kids on the hilltop? Well the answer to all of those questions is NO! Apparently my tastes are quite plebeian. Once I realized that, I switched gears. I queued up Electric Company, Bobby Darin on the Edie Gourmet Show and Marlene Dietrich in her concert special, I Wish You Love. It was great seeing the Electric Company and watching Bobby Darin, I never noticed he wore a toupee! The museum was closing so I didn’t get to watch much of Marlene Dietrich and I left very disappointed that I didn’t get to see her sing Falling in Love again or See what the Boys in the Backroom Will Have or Puff, Der Zauberdrachen or Ich Bin Die Fesche Lola or Wenn Ich Mir Was Wünschen Dürfte or Sag Mir Wo Die Blumen Sind. I may one day return but only after I have compiled a list of shows I want to see beforehand. I may even bring a stick of RAM to speed up their little computer. Darn thing was slower than my Commodore 64.
Tonight I have a date with Bob.

Two dates in two nights, damn girl your right in the thick of it now.I do have to admit the museum of television and radio is a good call for a date. Wish i thought of it .Is dork still a word? I thouht that went out in the 80’s with knight rider.Hope you have a love connection .Be back in 2 and 2 .
