I love this song but I truly hate the video. Just seeing Tawny Kitaen makes me break out in an allergic rash. Regardless, the lyrics have always resonated with me. I just wish it wasn’t performed by a hair metal band. Where’s Tom Jones when you need him?

That’s a coincidence. I would also get an all-too-fleeting allergic reaction when watching Tawny, but my doctor told me that there was not a thing to worry about. “Tawny makes you Hawny” was his diagnosis.
And from the same time period….another headbanger classic with lyrics that resonate with me….not really. All I remember is how down and dirty this video was, and how do they get away with showing that on TV? Now it’s almost tame. But still very hairy.
I love hair metal. It’s part of the fabric of who I am.
Or Tom Waits!
That makes two of us.
Rosalie, I can’t tell from your reply if you’re a hair-metal buff or Tawny makes you Hawny.
Gomer, I forgot to include this classic bit of 1980s pop schlock :

As for Sam Kinison and Jim Bakker: Jessica made them Hahny.
The 1980s was a high water mark in American culture, and you can gag me with a spoon.
Holy cow! Whatever happened to Jessica Hahn? She’s loopy as all get out and putting the smackdown on Baba Wawa: http://youtu.be/Uh2EjvQ6ywU
I’ve always loved this song although I prefer the original version off the 1982 Saints & Sinners album. David Coverdale is a far better blues/rock singer then most people give him credit for and it shows in the original.
Holy crap! You are right! It gives me shivers!!!!!!

Like a hobo I was born to walk alone!
Here’s another good performance — unplugged:

Always glad to be of service to a lady.
Neither, Gomer….just responding to the message of the song.
