And again, the idiots never stop

I think I am fine and it happens. I get jerked around. Someone does something that I would never do… and I find myself pretending all is fine but instead I am insulted and fuming inside. STOP. STOP. I am in control of my reaction and I have decided that I am not going to be angry or hurt. I am just going to move on. Learn and move on.

Is there a book on the art of using people and making them feel grateful for being used? I clearly need to bone up. Or at least learn their tactics so I don’t get them used on me.

Yep, back in the 1970s (the “me” decade) there was
a cynical bestseller called “Looking Out For Number One” by Robert Ringer. Then there’s good ol’ Machiavelli, who wrote The Prince….which is practically the bible for manipulative modern-day politicians and corporate execs.

Some of them want to be abused”.

Hard to be civil in an uncivil world, isn’t it? Turn the other cheek? That’s heavenly advice ..how many people follow it? Nations don’t. Do you really want the other cheek slapped? I’ve been a fan of Dr. Laura for years…have you read her books, which talk a lot about self-respect, making good decisions, and not being used? She is a fountain of common sense IMHO.

Robert Ringer also wrote “Winning Through Intimidation”, “To Be Or Not To Be Intimidated”, and “Getting What You Want: The 7 Principles of Rational Living”. By Jove, I think this man has a grip on reality in America.

Robert Ringer– I read a book of his, Winning Through Intimidation. Yeah, apparently I’ve been circling this corpse awhile.

Dr. Laura seems to do well with relationship advice, I am not so sure if she advises on how to deal with jerks in business.

I’ll get through this– it’s just a rough patch. Gotta raise my vibration, I’m attracting crap.
