Thanksgiving is approaching quickly. My dad and mom bought the turkey and peanut oil. We are ready to go!
I’ve been hearing about things that are making me feel even more grateful than usual…
- A Belgium man was completely paralyzed after an auto accident when he was 23 years old. He was believed to be in a vegetative state, but was completely conscious and heard every word said around him. For over two decades Houben had laid in a bed seeing and hearing people come and go, without being able to react or communicate.
- Charla Nash, the Connecticut woman mauled by a 200 pound chimpanzee in February, appeared on “Oprah” Wednesday to reveal her face and share heartbreaking details on her life since the attack.
- And I know two people who have lost loved ones over the last two months.
Can I just tell you, MY LIFE IS GROOVY! Everything is wonderful!
THANK YOU! THANK YOU! THANK YOU!

Mmmmm Fried Turkey! My favorite! 😀
Be thankful for what you have. All of my grandparents have passed away. I’ve lost my mom, her sister, and a cousin during the past 6 years, so appreciate your loved ones while you still have them.
If you haven’t seen the movie The Diving Bell and The Butterfly, I highly recommend it. The story is about a stroke victim who experiences a rare condition known as Locked In Syndrome in which he can only communicate by blinking his eyes. Certainly one of the finest foreign movies I’ve ever seen, overflowing with pathos (you are the EXPERT on cinema, especially of the non-American variety, so your opinion is most welcome.
