Saturday I went to the Open House at my sister’s new school. Â I got to see her classroom! Â She had it decorated in such a fun way! Â Seeing her standing there, wearing a pretty dress, a huge smile plastered across her face, standing in HER OWN classroom… I just felt so happy! Â It was the culmination of years of determination for her. Â So many ups and downs. Â False starts, wrong ways, and yet it all came together. Â Congrats Lisa! Â You deserve it all!
As I said in a previous entry, the new shower is in! Â The shower looks great but the ceiling above it looked horrible. Â On Sunday, Pookie Bear and I put down some drop cloths and painted the ceiling. Â We started around noon. Â I figured it might take an hour or so to get it done. Â We finished at 5:00. Â It looks good. Â There is still more painting that needs to be done but in the other rooms. Â The bathroom is finished. Â Hooray!
My birthday is fast approaching. Â Two days. Â I can’t believe I am going to be 35. Â It seems a joke. Â I know what a 35-year- old person is like AND I AM NOT THAT! Â So either I am exactly like that but am blind to it or my idea of 35-year-old person is totally wrong. Â Let’s go with the latter. Â I am sure not every 35-year-old woman has a mannish haircut, drives a minivan and listens to Phil Collins. Â I remember as a little girl, many of my little friends had mothers who were 35-years-old. Â I remember this because my mom was in her 40’s and I couldn’t quite understand why my mom was so very old when their mother’s were just kinda old. Â Makes me laugh now. Â 35-years-old! Â Here I come!
