This might be sacrilegious to say, but I prefer Chris Norman’s version. I also found versions by Juice Newton and Savoy Brown. Oddly enough, according to Wikipedia, the lead singer of Savoy Brown also sports a slightly longer Emo page boy like Chris Norman sported, uh, before his perm. 🙂
Savoy Brown looks like the prototypical white trash group from the 1970s. Look closer and you’ll see the needle tracks.
Actually I prefer the Emo look…goofy yet elegant.

If memory serves- in Space Balls there was a character called Prince Valium who wore a page boy and slept all the time 🙂 I think Monroe from Too Close for Comfort played him. One of my favorite episodes of Too Close For Comfort is the episode where Monroe gets raped by a very large woman in the back of a van. I would love to watch that episode again.
