The old trusty ’94 Chevy Caprice Classic is no longer trusty. The darn thing has stalled on me numerous times and the thought of taking her to my mechanic, Howard, sends me into total body shock. I do not want to put any more money into her. The time has come that I need a new car. No more putting this off. Either tomorrow or this weekend I am going to buy a black or silver Monte Carlo.
As Yul Brunner said in his role as Rameses in the epic movie, The Ten Commandments,
So let it be written,
so let it be done.

Command them to kneel before Pharaoh!

Hi. I had good results using Edmunds.com to get a good prioe. Also Consumer reports has an annual publication with repair histories etc. I Don’t know how good Edmunds still is. These sites tend to get more commercial and less consumer friendly over time.
Hi. I had good results using Edmunds.com to get a good prioe. Also Consumer reports has an annual publication you should be able to find in the library with repair histories etc. I Don’t know how good Edmunds still is. These sites tend to get more commercial and less consumer friendly over time.
We have one Monte owner at work. The car is long and gently curved, so I guess it’s a True Donnamobile.
If you want a trouble free no worry car go with a honda, toyota, or suburu, they are all made here in the usa and most models actually have more domestic parts than US carmakers.
I have been spending a lot of time on Edmunds. It’s a very good site– I only hope it is accurate.
Hey Donna-
If you’re gonna get new wheels, check out the Impala. Just bought a new one for my girlfriend. It’s cool enough that I like to drive it, in lieu of my own overpriced car…
Charles, you always make me giggle!
What’s more, the person to whom I’m referring is named, yes, Donna.
