I went home to my parents’ house yesterday after work. My dad and I cleared up my quarter of the cell phone bill and then we looked at my stocks to find that I am only 50 cents from breaking even. Let’s hope my sole stock goes up! As we puttered with his computer, my dad once again told me how much he hated the current donnaville design. He said it gives him a headache. When I got home, I told Lisa about Daddy’s comments and she AGREED with him! She said that she hates to it too and that’s why she never reads it anymore. So this evening I looked around for an alternate template. I found a couple, that are okay. Nothing really moves me though. Over the next few days I will try out a couple different templates and you guys can tell me which one you like best. Or if you have design skills– design me something. I’ll use it.

I saw nothing wrong with the old one……although, this might be a little easier to read.
I don’t really like this one. The comments are placed weirdly and it’s rather boring. But then I liked the old one.
I also don’t like the location of the comments but I have looked at the code and I can’t seem to figure out how to move them below the entry. I don’t mind this design too much– I am going to try to pimp it out a bit and maybe it will start seeming less boring. 🙂
The thing that drives me crazy is the WordPress themes are so difficult (at least for me) to figure out! I would love to just design something on my own but the code behind it looks like jibberish to me!

This is far more readable and has far more content per square inch. If you want to tinker with the css to hack the theme, I suggest you back up the old one first and then tinker one-line at a time! I’ve been playing with the CSS at my blog and it’s not tough once you start experimenting with it. Good luck!
I’ve been playing with it– I got the comments at the bottom of the entry and I removed the uppercase of the entry title. I feel like something is missin but I will keep playing with it. I may try some other themes– we’ll see.
