Lemon scented Pine-Sol

I was told I should come into the NYC office on Friday. I am desperately hoping that changes. Next week should see the opening of the Philly office. I have no doubt it will open. I do doubt that it will have furniture. As much as I am looking forward to the Philadelphia office opening, I am not looking forward to the commute. However, it will be nice to finally have work and home separated. It will be nice to get out of the house more often. It will be nice to intermingle with society. Who cares about the commute! I am breaking free! I can’t wait!

Getting that Philly office going sounds like someone from the government is in charge of the project. Sheesh. Getting enough furniture into an office for people to be able to do their work can be done by someone in a day if all you care about is functionality. It’s not rocket science.

Re: the commute-Atlanta has one of the worst commutes in the country-it’s brutal for people who live more than a short distance from where they work. You would *never, ever* hear anyone in Atlanta say that the commute didn’t matter to them even if they wanted to work outside the house. The traffic situation must be better up there.

Anyway, hope the change agrees with you, but I’m betting that in six months you’ll be nostalgic for the days when your commute was 90 seconds and you could work in your PJ’s.

You are right– I have no doubt that in quite possibly as soon as 6 weeks I will be longing for my home office. But then again, it really will be nice to get away and be amongst people.
