In bed last night I kept thinking about that person who jumped in front of the train. I hope they are at peace, I cannot imagine what they were feeling that compelled them to end their life in such a certain way. I also thought about the conductor of that train. What he experienced must have been horrific and I hope it doesn’t haunt him.
In lighter news, I am working from home today! HOORAY! And a couple days ago I bought a little t-shirt from Target that has the M*A*S*H logo emblazoned across the chest. I can’t stop wearing it, I love it so much. It makes me feel like Major “Hot Lips” Houlihan! (Admit it, you thought I was going to say Klinger!)
I always wondered if Miss Piggy’s look was based on Loretta Swit. Maybe Jim Henson or Frank Oz was a Hot Lips fan?

It’s funny that you mentioned the conductor, because when I read your earlier blog I was reminded of Dr. Samuelwicz mentioning in Psych 101 how many train drivers leave the job because of the amount of people who commit suicide by jumping in front of the train. The driver is able to see them step on to the tracks and know that they will be powerless to stop the train in time. It’s very traumatic.
