I have started to listen to a different radio station than I normally do, it’s WXPN 88.5. It reminds me of a radio station I used to listen to when I was working in Baltimore, WRNR 103.1. I loved this one DJ named Damian Einstein. He had the strangest delivery I had ever heard. When I first started listening to him, I had a very hard time understanding him. After awhile, I just got used to his tongue clucking as he talked like a bushman from the movie The Gods Must be Crazy. I always wondered how he ever got the job as a DJ. One day I googled him and found out he had been in a terrible accident which resulted in injuries and a speech impediment. He was fired because of it but his fans rallied and he filed a discrimination suit and then eventually he created WRNR. Pretty interesting, huh? Just as I miss Fell’s Point, The Inner Harbor, soft-shell crab sandwiches, and fried pepper rings dipped in powder sugar, I miss WRNR. Listening to WXPN brings back some nice memories, Miss Josie! I think I’ll try the crab fluff this evening, if you don’t mind, Miss Karen. Why! I don’t mind it a lick!

Soft shelled crab sandwiches and fried pepper rings in a Maryland eatery. That sounds soooo good.
