As usual, we went to DeLorenzo’s for pizza. Lisa came with us this time. During dinner, my mother got a little snappy but she apologized, “I am sorry I am so touchy but I’m on a diet…”
Lisa replied, “That’s okay, I’m touchy too but that’s because I’m tactile!”
Years and years ago, I interned at Channel 48 WGTW Philadelphia. (That was when Dorothy Brunson owned it) The building was actually located in Manayunk. The staff was pretty amazed that I actually watched the stuff they aired. Most of them thought they were toiling in vain. On Saturday mornings, there was a video show hosted by some young nerdy guy. It was so amateurish, I loved it. He always played this one video that I LOVED! It was one of the few contemporary songs I enjoyed. Even though I loved the song, I never gave it much thought until the show went off the air and I couldn’t get my weekly fix. I only slightly remembered the name of the group. It had something to do with Daisies. Pushing Daisies? Pulling Daisies? I couldn’t remember. I couldn’t even remember more than just a few words of the song and yet it haunted me. “I got a girl she got girlfriends, I got a girl, I like her girlfriends.” Every couple years I would type it in a search engine. At first I used HotBot and then Altavista, eventually I typed it in Google. The results were never accurate. This evening, driving home with Lisa, we listened to G Rock 98.5 and THE SONG AIRED! I couldn’t believe it. Once home, I looked at their playlist and found the song. It is, “I Got a Girl” by TRIPPING Daisy. FINALLY!
UPDATE! Here’s a link to the video
PS I finally linked to my food blog and tried to make it look pretty. Take a look at it.

Hi Donna,
I came to your web site via a google search on Nutella! I like to check in from time to time. Very enjoyable between tasks at my office desk.
I went to your food area and saw info on wine. I love pinot noir and I just wanted to mention you should include one of the great pairings: pinot noir and many chicken dishes (like roast chicken.) Mmmm. Makes me hungry just thinking about it. Thanks!
