Let me in Cinnamon

Lisa and I went to Target. We had just a few things on our list to buy. One of the items was a bag of cinnamon sticks. We looked all over the food section but couldn’t find them. Lisa said I should ask a Target Team Member rather than giving up. I walked over to an older man who wore the red Target shirt; he was fiddling with a price scanner.
“Excuse me but could you help me find cinnamon sticks?”
“Sure, what do you want?”
“Cinnamon sticks.”
“Yeah, uh, we should have those…. here!” He picked up a box of graham crackers.
“Right, well, there is certainly a picture of a cinnamon stick on the box, but I actually wanted the real thing.”
“I see, I see.” He walked intently to the next aisle. “Here!”
“No, sir, that is a stick of beef jerky.”
“Oh, okay.” He turned to go to another aisle.
“Y’know, I think I am fine; I really don’t need cinnamon sticks…”
I ran away.

AWTM sent me over as well. It is that special time of year when you just surrender. And laugh.

You wisely use your blog to let others know your dilemna. And vw bug is right, spice aisle. Of course, you can get a JUMBO container at Sam’s club. (I for the life of me cannot imagine needing so many unless for an arts and crafts project, but thought I would mention, as cinnamon sticks can get expensive…)

Funny that you should mention Target…

On the December 3 episode of Saturday Night Live,
there was a comedy sketch that ridiculed the
    behavior of Target cashiers.

According to a blogger at tvsquad.com:

“Kristen Wiig and Dane Cook both play Target cashiers ringing up customers. Dane has a mullet and an obsession with Felicia Rashad. He claims he even made a Claire Huxtable snowman once. Kristen keeps admiring the things people are buying and walks away to go find them.”

Came here by way of AWTM. That is a funny and totally true story!! I once worked at Walmart, and we had people like that. *I even emulated one of them once to get a customer to go away… I was only 16 then.
