UNIQLO

Lisa and I drove to Freehold, NJ’s Raceway Mall to shop at UNIQLO. Last month I read an article about the store in the NYTimes and have wanted to shop there ever since. It’s a Japanese discount clothing store that specializes in good quality clothing. At first glance, I thought I found the answer to my dreams. I must have tried on a 1,000 different shirts all under 20.00. The problem was, nothing was terribly distinctive. I could get similarly priced items at TJMaxx. The jeans all had those white crotch whiskers that might be acceptable to a 15-year-old but not me. I left with a black jacket that reminded me of something from La Femme Nikita and a 10.00 velour, long-sleeved v-neck. If one opens near me, I’ll go again but I won’t drive to Freehold.
