It’s raining. And I would prefer to be anywhere else besides my desk. The sound of the rain hitting my window is soothing to me. It’s been hot the last few days and I am hoping the rain will have a cooling effect. I am ready for fall. Most likely because I bought a purple sweater that I really want to wear. Yesterday I met Erin for coffee and we shared a pumpkin muffin. It was so yummy. Erin mentioned that we have now known each other over half our lives! We met in 10th grade– we were 15 years old. Time sure does fly! It seems like only yesterday we were on stage crew and hanging out in the art room.

I wrote to my old college roommate and asked her if she wants to meet at Rosemont’s Alumni Homecoming. She is married and has two kids. We traded a couple of emails recently but other than that, the last time we spoke was when I demanded my rug back after I moved out in a huff. I hope she is free although how weird it will be to see her after 10 years and meet her family. We shall see.
