What a day! Work started slow and pleasantly but very quickly became a whirlwind of phone calls and meetings. My mom called and invited Lisa and me to dinner at home. She made tortellini. After dinner we went to TJMaxx and I bought practically every item on clearance! OH MY GOSH THE BARGAINS! I got the sweetest black slinky dress! And tons of other great stuff. My total? $24.00!

At the dress rack I overheard some girls talking as they were going through the dresses. “Oh my gosh!?! Look at this dress! It’s like something out of the 50’s! I can see a woman wearing that and sipping a Manhattan! As if!”
They all agreed it was horrible but I loved the idea and so I said, “Can I see that 50’s dress?”
They handed it to me and snickered, “Can you believe it?”
“I believe it alright and love it! I’ll make this dress look good!” The dress was seafoam green and looked like something Loretta Young might have worn. I put it in my cart and went to the dressing room. Sadly, it didn’t fit me quite right. Darnit.
