Did you know that the word haver means “to vacillate?” I have only heard of it from that song by the Proclaimers:

If I get drunk yes I know I’m gonna be
I’m gonna be the man who gets drunk next to you
And if I haver yeah I know I’m gonna be
I’m gonna be the man who’s havering to you

I guess because it follows the line about getting drunk I always assumed it had something to do with getting sick.
