What a long day! I’ve been in meetings since 8:00 am! At 5:00, a group of us went to the Kinzie Chop House. I planned to order the Chicken Breast Salad but for some odd reason as I opened my mouth to order, the word “Filet” came out. Why skimp when my company’s paying, right? Now I feel rather bloated. But I guess the reason is that instead of saying, “I’m finished,” I actually said, “Coffee and Creme Brulée.” Not smart at all.

I am looking forward to tomorrow. Lisa is picking me up at the airport and then we are going to have some fun in the city. I am hoping she’s coming up with plans since I have no idea what to do.

Oh and guess the content of one of today’s meetings… MID-YEAR PERFORMANCE REVIEWS!!! The only reason why this makes me happy is I only have to write my own! I HAVE NO DIRECT REPORTS!!!!! I still get palpitations thinking about those evil 2004 performance reviews.
