Ces Bottes Sont Faites Pour Marcher

I created a Web site for my sister so she can post pictures she takes. The web site is a bumpy road. It’s pretty much empty at this point. All it has are images I uploaded while I was testing. Still, I am kind of taken with it and really hope she gets some use out of it.

Yesterday, I noticed Rhapsody now has 2 albums from the Pop A Paris compilation series!!! I have been wanting these CDs forever but I hated to buy them mainly because I believe it is archaic to buy CDs. So now, I am listening to Jacqueline Trieb singing her version of the Who’s My Generation. There’s even a version of These Boots Are Made for Walking: Ces Bottes Sont Faites Pour Marcher. SPEAKING OF WHICH, yesterday I saw the Jessica Simpson video for her version of These Boot Are Made for Walking which she apparently sang for her role as hooker in the movie Dukes of Hazzard. I don’t remember Hazzard County having ladies of the night but I guess that is what happens when you update. And what the heck is wrong with her voice? That is not a pleasant sound she emits! I asked Lisa if it was a joke, but she assured me all was on the up and up.

I agree, I saw that Simpson video, the accoustics were terrible……..or so I thought. If they hadn’t given the title, it would have been unrecognizable. rosa

Simpson’s musical career is built entirely upon nonmusical characteristics: she can’t actually sing, but she has no qualms about pushing her rump into the camera, which is apparently all that’s required these days.

Actually Jessica can sing…quite well. Unfortunately she has simply fallen into the music industry trap of looking like a complete skank in order to sell records. It does little for her original message of morality.
