It started yesteday, bounced emails landing in my Inbox. These weren’t emails I sent, they were spam. Thankfully not porn spam but IPO/stock spam. Apparently some spammer is using my email address as the reply to. I am guessing he just wants people to click on the link rather than reply to the email. So in addition to the bounced emails, I have emails from people asking me for more information— or at least that is what it seems like since the emails are in Spanish. Maybe they are saying, STOP EMAILING ME! I called my ISP to let them know what was going on but they said there was nothing they can do. I can report it to their Spam department but they are so overwhelmed that the likelihood of getting back to me is slim. I feel this is identity theft yet I am not sure what to do. I could just turn off that email but then the spammer will have won.
Suggestions welcome

Usually when you start having problems like this it’s not you, but somebody that has you in their address book, has gotten one of the numerous email viruses that steal addresses from their personal address book then send spam with spoofed sender/reply using those names.

I usually contact the people and tell them to stop it. I’m suprised that your ISP isn’t doing anything about it. It is their company that uses their services to attact other people. Not got for anybody…..
Anyways have a good one and I hope you find a solution.
