I have not stepped outside since I arrived Tuesday evening! The hotel took down their Christmas tree today. I guess the holiday season is officially over. Tomorrow I go home. I can’t wait. Work is driving me silently insane. If only they would give me a goal– something to aim for. When I was building the department, the work was challenging and I LOVED it. Now that everything is running, I am bored out of my mind! Gotta get the resume out!
My parents went to Delorenzo’s for pizza this evening. Gosh I wish I was with them! John– save me a slice! Instead I did room service. Chicken Caesar Salad. The same man served me as always. Frankie knows my voice when I order. He always says the same thing when he delivers the food. “You here again, Miss?” And I reply, “Frankie, I’ve been here since JUNE!” I almost bought Frankie a Christmas gift since he really is the closest thing I have to a friend here in Chicago. But then I realized: I pay him money to bring me food. What kind of a friend is that? I mean– he doesn’t even trust me to tip him! He includes it in the bill!!! Gratuity my ass!
Maybe a new project to keep you busy during the weekend – you know, just to keep you going until a new job comes along.
For instance, I’ve decided my apartment desperately needs redecorated (old furniture my buddy gave me when I moved in 2 years ago just isn’t cutting it anymore).
I also just bought 2 big boxes of old comic books from a programmer at work – and I plan to resell them to a local comic shop. Maybe make a little profit.
Like I said, just little things to keep you busy … hobbies.

I do the same thing, I keep dancing to keep the weight off since engineers mostly sit down 90% of the time. I’ve also do on the side work for the large stuidos doing set design, prop design etc. Good luck I hope everything goes well this weekend.
