I MET COOTER (aka Ben Jones) FROM THE DUKES of HAZZARD LAST NIGHT!!!!!!! He was performing at the Sleepy Hollow Hayride with his band aptly named: Cooter’s Garage Band. They played old country songs from the likes of Patsy Cline, Hank Williams and Loretta Lynn [my favorites, although sadly, no Johnny Cash]. And he reminisced about Boss Hogg and Flash the Wonder Dog (amongst others) ! They even had 2 General Lees there, right next to the stage/cornfield! Ahhhhh, the power of a ’69 Dodge Charger! 🙂 When he was finished his first set, I met him as he climbed down off the stage and introduced myself! I told him I was a big fan of the show and he was my favorite character. I did not let on that I really liked Enus. He told me that I had great taste! He also said that they just finished a reunion movie! Pretty cool. Just so you know, I didn’t say anything about politics, since I don’t think very much of him politically. I felt it was best to remain mum on that subject. At any rate, I felt transported back to those more idyllic days, watching the Dukes of Hazzard, Thursdays at 7pm…laying on my belly atop the shag brown carpeting in the TV room….and whooping whenever Bo and Luke jumped the General Lee over some dilapitated bridge. Those were the days, my friend!
