Bail me out

I’ve found it difficult to post over the last few days. I’ve been pretty much attached to the TV watching everything I can about the whole bailout situation. I am overjoyed it was defeated but I know it’s not over and that most likely it will pass in some way, shape, or form. If anything, the other day’s hoopla was just a way to make it seem like we have a say in the matter. I am just disgusted at the situation we are in and I am saddened that people think creating money out of thin air is a good idea.

I can’t help but wonder what the future holds for us. I keep hearing horrible things such as super inflation and an end to all our luxuries. Who knows. All I know is all things pass, eventually. What really angers me about the situation is that I’ve been such a good little camper. As soon as I joined the workforce I saved. I never ran up debt. I went without until I could afford it. I built a nice nest egg. That nest egg is getting decimated. Is it no wonder why I feel sick to my stomach?

Very similar to the efforts of Congress to ram illegal immigration down our throats. Every now and then The People step away from their TVs, raise their windows, and yell “I’m mad as hell, and I’m not going to take it anymore!”.

Even those bought-off so-called “representatives” in DC
pay attention when public opinion runs 3-1 against what they are doing.

If you fall behind on a credit card payment, a collection agency comes a-callin. When banks fall behind, they use our “representatives” to bail them out.

And anyone who EVER thought George Bush was a conservative
    got their final wakeup call.

The poorest in the U.S. have cable TV and cell phones; Even the poorest in Russia still have the internet. And Canada isn’t so bad as I see it.

The best way to avoid worrying about taxes and socialism and things you can’t change is to get a better paying job. If taxes increase by 10%, get a job that pays you 10% more.

    It’s going to be OK

If you get a job that pays 10% more, the government will tax you 10% more.

Some writer pointed out the other day that transferring 700 billion from one pocket to another pocket doesn’t solve anything. Someone gets 700 billion dollars richer, and someone gets 700 billion poorer.

This is a “rescue”? For which people?
