Gestapo State

What is this world coming to? My father told me about a situation that occurred very close by us on Wednesday. A young woman called her father and threatened suicide. He heard a shot ring out and he called police. The police arrived at her home and found her hiding in a closet. They fired a mace pellet into the closet to get her to come out. Instead of coming out, she stayed in the closet and fired a shot from her gun. The policeman then fired three shots into the closet, killing her.

The father of the woman who called the police is Jim McCaffrey, owner of a local Supermarket chain. I knew him in passing having worked at the bakery in one of his supermarkets back when I was in High School. I can’t imagine what this man is going through. He called the police, trying to protect his daughter and instead he called her executioners. What were the police doing going into the house like a SWAT team? This was a 30-year-old woman! This wasn’t an ex-con or a terrorist! This was a woman who was in pain and in desperate need of help. And they killed her.

I am reminded of what recently happened to Mayor Cheye Calvo. Police raided his home, killed his two dogs, tied up him and his mother-in-law and interrogated them regarding a package that was delivered to their house.

It’s chilling. It’s frightening. This is not my country. Mr. McCaffrey, his family, and especially his daughter, are in my thoughts and prayers.

A wise man once told me “Never trust the government, just ask a native american”. Since 9/11 and the fight against terror, the government has taken many rights away from us in the name of fear. The citizens must revolt and demand our rights to be restored. If the cops ever busted in my house and killed my dogs, I would without any hesitation kill as many cops as possible. These raids are so stupid as they could just as easily wait outside the house for the person to leave the house and arrest them, then search the house.

“Authorities said McCaffrey fired a gun at police from inside the closet”

There’s a big difference between “firing a gun” and “firing a gun at police“. The only reason the police shot at her is because she shot at them.

I’m still wondering about the first shot too, the one that caused the father to call the cops. Was she firing at her old man?

In any case, the story sounds suspicious to me. I’m sure all of the details will be online soon enough, but it’s probably best to wait until then to judge. What a tragedy!

She was on the phone with her father– threatening suicide and she fired the gun. Her father heard it over the line and immediately called the cops.

I can’t imagine there will be much that could come out that would change my mind. I really don’t feel the police should have approached the situation as they did. It’s like they’ve watched too many epiosdes of cop TV and they want to shake EVERYTHING down. Remember, they shot a mace pellet into the closet. She was already crying and upset so now she was choking and coughing and in severe pain. She very well could have been holding the gun too tight or grappling for it and it went off– or she was firing up in the air trying to get them to go away. She was suicidal– not violent against others. Of course, we will never hear the real story. The cops will say whatever it takes to make themselve seem like heroes.

Did the police know much about this situation before they entered the house?
Maybe they thought she had taken someone hostage. Maybe they thought she was threatening other people.
    It’s now obvious in hindsight
that they ACTED WITHOUT KNOWING THE IMPLICATIONS OF THEIR ACTIONS. That to me is
    not good police work…it’s
a “shoot now, ask questions later” mentality.
