New outlook

I had a nice weekend. Driving to and from Rob’s place, I turned my XM dial to the Oprah and Friends channel. Please don’t think less of me. I do enjoy some of the hosts; I guess I am just a new age-y chump, I don’t know. At any rate, I listened to Rabbi Shmuley Boteach and found that I really liked his show. On Sunday I told my mother, “You won’t believe who I was listening to on the radio this afternoon!”
“Who?”
“Rabbi Shmuley”
“Schmuley you can’t be serious!”
“I am serious and don’t call me Schmuley!”
Ba Ta Ta Da!

I am all pretty-pretty in my Ann Taylor Smock Dress, almost ready to head out the door and brave two hours of commute to end up in New York City! My professional life is changing today. My company has hired me a telemarketer! This means I can be more strategic! This also means that I will be sharing my office with another person so the amount of nose-picking, feet up on the chair or hoisted onto the desk regardless of dress or skirt will no longer be tolerated. I must contain my bodily urges. No more farting or burping when the need arises. I WILL NO LONGER BE ALONE! Darnit! But it will be worth it.

I love Rabbi Schmuley! Denis Prager has had him on his radio show on 990 AM, and his show, “Shalom in the Home” is wonderful. I’m so glad it got renewed. If you ever want to know what I do for a living, watch that show. Pat Croce had a show with a similar format that was also good, but it got cancelled after one season.

Here, for years, I’ve been telling people that I have two daughters. Little did I know that you were more truly your fathers child.
