This morning I did not want to awake. All I wanted was to go back to sleep for a few hours. Still, I somehow managed to rouse myself. Now I am showered, drinking coffee, and very nearly almost ready to leave for the train station. I keep reminding myself, tonight I go to DeLorenzo’s for some of the greatest pizza in the whole wide world and tomorrow is Friday. It’s keeping me awake and placing one foot in front of the other.
Yesterday went so well! I had a great time. It makes all the damn cold calls I do tolerable. I am beginning to get more and more used to the work I am doing. It is so different from my old job. Regardless, it is getting better everyday.
I should post a picture of what the inside of my refrigerator looks like. I imagine it’s a lot like the inside of the refrigerators of people who live in Ethiopia. Last night Lisa and I planned to go grocery shopping but just like every other night this week we were too tired. Yesterday, I didn’t schedule any time for lunch and the two people who accompanied me on my calls kept complaining about their hunger. The girl said, “Now I know why you are so skinny.” I wanted to tell her the reason I am so skinny is the only thing left in my cabinet is orange-flavored fiber tablets and I’ve been eating them for breakfast, lunch and dinner for the last two weeks. Maybe the reason Lisa and I are too tired to go grocery shopping is malnutrition? (This is a complete joke, mom– don’t worry, I am eating a very healthy diet featuring foods in all the food pyramid groups, really! Honest)

Yes, Mother Hubbard, I know.
