Mach mich nicht an

Yesterday on the train ride to Penn Station I sat next to a woman who was reading a German book. I noticed this as my Mobiblu piped Falco into my ears. “What a coincidence,” I thought!

Es ist kalt, wir müssen weg hier, komm
Dein Lippenstift ist verwischt
Du hast ihn gekauft und ich habe es gesehen
Zuviel rot auf deinen Lippen und du hast gesagt:
“Mach mich nicht an”

Check this out, it’s a translation to Falco’s Jeanny!

I don’t recall that song, but the English verses just *can’t* be translations of the German ones above them; are they part of the original song?

Oops-Didn’t realize the translation you were referring to was in the comments section.

When I first found the link, I did the same thing, Nathan. I should have mentioned the need to scroll down to find the translation. 🙂 That’s the one cool thing about Falco, his songs were always a mish mash of languages
