I know Dusty was of a sapphic tilt, I still think she and Tom Jones should have had children together if only for the music.

Has anyone tried this freeware? Flix Queue

I downloaded it quite awhile ago and found it rather clumsy. It seemed easier to just use the NetFlix Web site. I downloaded it again since I noticed they just put out an update and it still doesn’t seem to save me any time over the Web site. I don’t know. To each their own, I suppose.
Dusty was a great performer, whatever her tilt was.
Despite wearing about 25 pounds of hair on the top of her head, she managed to keep her head
upright (at least in most photos I’ve seen).
I’m amazed that her head doesn’t TILT.

Dusty was fabulous! I LOVE her music dearly. What truly sets her apart is that her image really isn’t tied to her music. Everyone knows Son of a Preacher Man but I think most people don’t have any mental image of Dusty singing it.
Case in point– it took me many years to put together that it was the same woman who sang: I Only Want To Be With You, Wishin’ And Hopin, You Don’t Have To Say You Love Me, Son Of A Preacher Man, I Just Don’t Know What To Do With Myself, etc.. All I knew was when those songs came on the radio I jumped for joy but I had no idea it was the same woman.
Dusty was just another tremendous performer that
Burt Bacharach put to excellent use
(along with Gene Pitney, Dionne Warwick, The Carpenters, Jackie DeShannon, and Perry Como…yep, Perry Como)
Actually, wasn’t Jackie DeShannon really just a Yank version of Dusty Springfield?
I kinda doubt it; Jackie had singles out before Dusty left The Springfields behind.
Then maybe I have the cart before the horse.
But somehow hearing Jackie singing about “love, sweet love” reminds me a lot of Dusty singing about the “look of love”.
But that’s just me.
