I finally used my Borders gift certificate yesterday. I bought the Elvis Movie Collection box set. It contains Spinout, Speedway, It Happened at the World’s Fair, Jailhouse Rock, and Harum Scarum. In Spinout, there is a scene where Elvis is playing at a disco and on the wall behind the stage are paintings that I remember from the movie The Subterraneans. They are the self-portraits Roxanne painted. I guess MGM just re-used old props.

I’ve been unsuccessfully trying to create a DVD of all the Beach movie dance scenes. I have downloaded so many different software packages without a stitch of luck. I am close to surrendering.
