UGH! This is the probably the 6th time I have attempted to install Moveable Type and each and every time I throw my arms up in frustration! What kills me is the FAQ says: MT should be fairly easy to install. BAH! I fancy myself a rather technical person yet I read the instructions and my head spins! Sorry for complaining but if anyone out there can offer me any advice I would gladly take it.

Got back from Chicago last night. The 3 days I spent there were chock full of meetings. I couldn't sleep at night because I was filled with anxiety. I would fall asleep only to jerk awake, sure that I had overslept. Both mornings I got up at 4:30. There was a little coffee shop just across from the hotel where I went for a very early breakfast. By 7:00 I was in the office putzing. The lack of sleep didn't slow me down. The meetings were very successful and my CRM/SFA project is finally gaining some visibility. Regardless, I am happy to be home. Last night I slept like a rock!

Tested Cocoa's urine today and the strip didn't change color, meaning his blood sugar was NORMAL. Spoke to the vet and she said that his Diabetes may have gone into remission. Apparently this happens to some cats. No more insulin shots! At least until we figure out what is going on. I am so happy, but not as happy as Cocoa, I am sure.

1. Last night at a bar, I met a lovely man. He approached me rather sheepishly and said: "Last night I was doing this chick and the door to my bedroom was open. Well, my cat came from behind me and the next thing I know, I feel my cat's teeth sink into my b*lls! I guess he thought they were mice. Uhhhh, so you wanna go out? I'll take you to the Punk Rock Prom."

2. I had a dream that I was in my kitchen and meatballs kept magically appearing on the floor. I would bend down and pick up a handful and deposit them in the sink only to find more meatballs on the floor. It was very frustrating.

3. Cocoa was behaving so strangely this afternoon. It was almost as if he were drunk. He was staggering, tripping, and walking in circles. The Vet had warned me that something like this might happen if his blood sugar dropped. Luckily I had a bottle of Caro syrup and so I poured about a capful down his throat. Right after, he sobered.

I thanked Mr. Cat Bite but told him I wasn't interested. He seemed incredulous that I would reject him and he asked me why I didn't want to go out with him. "I might have gone, but the Cat story repulsed me, I'm sorry."

Yesterday I took the morning off work and went to NYC for a stockholders' meeting. Next week I have a meeting in Chicago. How is it possible that I have a closet, 2 bureaus, and a trunk full of clothes but nothing to wear? The other night, I must have tried on 10 different and entirely inappropriate outfits for the stockholders' meeting. I booked my flight to Chicago today. Instead of strategizing for the meeting, all I can do is wonder what I should pack. This is what happens when you buy all your clothes off the clearance and sale racks. Nothing goes together! Someone once left a comment (most likely snide) that quoted Postcards from the Edge. I soooooooooo relate to it. I have always felt dissatisfied with my clothes and have always secretly believed one day I would find the perfect outfit that would make my life perfect.

Friday, Lisa and I saw Down with Love. It was certainly not a great movie, but it was a lot of fun. Lisa and I agreed that although Ewan MacGregor was cute, he was no Rock Hudson. Riding home after the movie, we tried to figure what actor of today could be considered the Rock Hudson type. The only one we could come up with was Hugh Jackman. There really is an absence of tall, strapping, masculine, ruggedly handsome movie stars! I remember about a year ago I was flipping through the TV channels and I came upon the X-Men. I don't watch violent movies so I never saw the X-Men when it was out in the theater. Watching this crazy movie, I was enthralled by the tall, dark, and hairy man.... so much so I called for Lisa to come down and take a look. "Oh, Lisa-- I don't know what this is but check this guy out... Wow, I really like him... he is so fuzzy!" Lisa then broke the news to me, "Donna, he's 1/2 dog!" I was embarrassed and a bit disappointed, to say the least.
Last night I watched a Julie Newmar biography followed by Coupling. I am glad I discovered Coupling, it gives me something to look forward to each week. After Coupling ended, I watched the first 1/2 of Love Bites with Adam Ant. I really hope Ants Invasion make their way to Philadelphia one day. This morning I baked a cake and watched the Dean Stockwell film: Rapture. As much as I enjoyed it, it felt very strange seeing him perform love scenes with a 14 year old girl. It is a shame Dean Stockwell didn't make more movies in the early 60's.
OK! So my weekend consisted of watching silly movies and TV shows... At least I baked a cake.

I love you! I pet you! I feed you and give you milk to drink! I scratch your tummy. I vacuum up your shedded hair. I let you in and I let you out and I let you in and I let you out. And yet, after all these things I do for you, you still PISSED on my clothes? WHY!?!?!?!?!?!

I am happy today is Friday. I need a break from work. Not much has been going on here. Nothing to report. I wish the weather wasn't so miserable, I could really go for a nice, long walk.
Such kind comments from you guys regarding my Speed Dating experience! I gotta admit, I am the one to blame. I crossed off way too many men. You see, the guys were too young and too short for me. Regardless, I will try Speed Dating again next month. And I will really try not to be so verbally combatant with the fellows. Analyzing it, I think I may purposely alienate potential matches, so they don't get the chance to reject me later. On the other hand, it felt strange selecting Dating and Romance for guys I had only just met. At any rate, it was kind of fun and I would recommend it to others.
