I don’t have much of an appetite, thank you

I have some very weird news. Going through sitemeter, I found Web sites that actually link to donnaville!?! I know, how in the world did this happen? What kind of taste do these people have? Here’s the links, you can check them out and make up your own mind to their sanity!

If you linked to me and you don’t see yourself listed in my blogroll to your right, shoot me an email or leave me a comment and I will add you. If you are linked on my blogroll and you don’t have me on your blogroll, I forgive you. Very few people were brought up with manners.

I’ll have the roast duck with Mango Salsa

It was so obvious! How could you not have seen the phone call from Jack’s daughter not being a set up to draw him into China’s evil grasp? I was all like, “Here comes the evil Chinamen to kidnap Jack Bauer! Ho hum!” Did everyone notice Mick Schtoppel aka Carlo Rota as computer gal’s ex-husband? I love the La Femme Nikita connections! In fact, I was just talking about La Femme Nikita with Lisa when we took Bobo for his after dinner walk.
“Nikita’s code name was Josephine but what was Michael’s code name?” I asked Lisa.
“Hot stuff!”
“You’re insane but I think you’re right!”
Lisa and I never tire of objectifying Michael no matter how many years go by.

Empty nest syndrome

On the 17th, my robin chicks flew away. This is the last picture I snapped of them on the morning of their departure:

I miss watching them grow but the good news is I found a new nest.

I just had a piece of midori cake for breakfast. It was so yummy! Everyone reading this should bake a midori cake today! Except for Michael because he’s on a diet. Reflecting on the recipe, I really wish I added some green food dye to the cake. I think it would look better a deeper green color.

Tomorrow I have a sales meeting in Philly. Just one. Wednesday and Thursday I will most likely work from New York City. On Friday I was told a Philadelphia office was finally a go! The papers were signed and now all they have to do is build the interior. I wonder what it will be like going to an office everyday? I have a feeling I will still work from home maybe once a week. We shall see. One of these days I should ride Septa into the city just to see what it will be like. Hopefully it is tolerable.

tttttt

I had such a nice day today! Erin came over and we had tea and midori cake. When we were finished we went shopping at Dick’s, Linens and Things, Sports Authority and Target. I bought sunscreen and Catch-a-bubble. This afternoon I visited my mom’s friend, Annie and helped her with her computer. Dinner was spent with my parents. They made Italian hot dogs! So delish! I think it’s because they use a stick of butter in the skillet.

Jump down spin around

I mixed up the midori cake. It smells wonderful! I also cleaned up Bo’s newly made piss stains in the dining room. Each time I think we have him broken of the dining room toilet concept, he falls right back into it. My only solution is to get hardwood floors. That way I can sponge it up easier. And as Elvis croons I have vacuumed and dusted the living room. I love when I am productive!

Weekend stuff

You would not believe how happy I am that it is Friday. This was a great week and I am completely exhausted. I am looking forward to a quiet weekend. If I was really smart I would try to get all my chores done up front so I can spend the rest of the weekend relaxing rather than avoiding chores.

Things I want to accomplish this weekend
1. Bake Midori cake
2. Sleep
3. Watch Netflix movies
4. Sit and admire my now beautiful garden

I think these things are entirely doable. 🙂

yum

It feels so nice to finally be back home. After work I went directly to M&D’s house so we could drive to DeLorenzo’s together. The pizza was so good except my dad brought beer instead of wine and I prefer wine. Of course, I can’t complain since he does all the work. Gosh, I am so tired. Must go to sleep.

Emaciation Proclamation

This morning I did not want to awake. All I wanted was to go back to sleep for a few hours. Still, I somehow managed to rouse myself. Now I am showered, drinking coffee, and very nearly almost ready to leave for the train station. I keep reminding myself, tonight I go to DeLorenzo’s for some of the greatest pizza in the whole wide world and tomorrow is Friday. It’s keeping me awake and placing one foot in front of the other.

Yesterday went so well! I had a great time. It makes all the damn cold calls I do tolerable. I am beginning to get more and more used to the work I am doing. It is so different from my old job. Regardless, it is getting better everyday.

I should post a picture of what the inside of my refrigerator looks like. I imagine it’s a lot like the inside of the refrigerators of people who live in Ethiopia. Last night Lisa and I planned to go grocery shopping but just like every other night this week we were too tired. Yesterday, I didn’t schedule any time for lunch and the two people who accompanied me on my calls kept complaining about their hunger. The girl said, “Now I know why you are so skinny.” I wanted to tell her the reason I am so skinny is the only thing left in my cabinet is orange-flavored fiber tablets and I’ve been eating them for breakfast, lunch and dinner for the last two weeks. Maybe the reason Lisa and I are too tired to go grocery shopping is malnutrition? (This is a complete joke, mom– don’t worry, I am eating a very healthy diet featuring foods in all the food pyramid groups, really! Honest)
