Back in Chicago again

A wonderfully uneventful flight. An extremely slow Internet connection. I am in CHICAGO! The taxicab driver was doused in an overpowering cologne. He also enjoyed sticking his head out the window and screaming, “AMIGGGGOOOOOS!” at the top of his lungs.

ATA is piloting a snack program. For 5.00 you can buy a snack pack right before the beverage service. I think it is a great idea and have so far purchased 2 snack packs. A few other improvements ATA can make:

* Include a tiny bottle of red wine with the snack pack for no additional charge
* Add an Indian channel to their Inflight Entertainment music lineup
* Equip the chairs with a laptop recharger plug
* Build into the chairs the same technology that was used in those old Magic Finger hotel beds
* Serve Bubble Tea, Ginseng Rush, and Dr. Brown’s Cel Ray soda in addition to the regular beverages
* Have an automatic photo taken of everyone during landing that can then be purchased at the baggage claim, very much like Amusement Parks do with rollercoasters.
* Finally, make the pilots wear codpieces

Time to go to sleep.

here we go again

My bags are almost packed. I am dressed. My laptop needs to be turned off and stowed. In an hour I leave once again for the airport. I enjoy the work— that is probably the reason why I can keep up this schedule. I don’t come back until Friday. Another short weekend. At least I have one, that is all that matters.

Oh way oh way oh way

The last two days have been so nice. It is wonderful to spend time at the Donna Villa doing nothing. I watched DVDs, caught up with my favorite blogs, cleaned my bedroom, sorted mail, shopped, and most of all— thought not once about work. Tomorrow I travel back to Chicago for another 4 days. I don’t mind it. I just wish I could be home more. AND I COULD GET MY HANDS ON THE SECOND SEASON DVD OF LA FEMME NIKITA. Please, don’t mind me. I get very caught up in certain television shows. A few years ago I was so obsessed with Forever Knight, it wasn’t even funny. Before that, it was Xena and Kung Fu: The Legend Continues. I eventually get over it, it just sometimes takes years. It really is a shame that I choose to invest time and energy into TV rather than something more valuable such as Nuclear Physics or the Harpsicord. Shazbot.
