An April Post

by Donna on April 25, 2013

Two years since my dad died. The anniversary was the 9th. It amazes me how much has changed since that fateful day. And even more major, monumental changes are on the way.

Change is good. I need change.

I’ve been lucky to have had an extended childhood. I lived at home with my parents until I was 29. I spent the last 10 years living in a pretty carefree manner. My thirties have been very much like my twenties except I lived on my own.

Am I ready to put away childish things?

Hi, Donna. I’ve posted here in the past, but you may not remember me. My dad passed away in January, 2012 in a hospital near Dallas, Texas. I was the only person in the room when he died, and believe me, that’s an experience that nobody can forget. I made changes, too….moving from a ‘burb of Dallas, Texas, to Santa Fe, New Mexico.

Hey BDavis– of course I remember you! Sorry to hear about your dad. It sucks. But each day gets a little easier. The pain never goes away but normalcy returns. Hopefully New Mexico is cooler than Texas! :-)
