Google Skin Tags

Google Skin TagThis scares me.

I was talking to a friend the other day when I noticed a growth.

“Is that a wart or a skin tag?” I asked.

“Huh, I never noticed it… looks like a skin tag.”

“Yeah, I think it is a skin tag.”

That was it, we moved on to other subjects.

A couple hours later, I went on Youtube and right across the screen was a banner for SKIN TAG videos. Every suggested video was for SKIN TAGS.

Is this just the strangest coincidence ever or is Google now listening to our real world conversations? I am pretty sure my Android phone was in my pocket when I noticed the growth.

I don’t facebook friend anyone I work with in this job or my most recent job. Facebook still suggests former and present co-workers as friends. I don’t know how they know.

    Rob– it’s either 1 of 3 reasons:

    1. Email address. Somehow your past colleagues have your personal email address on file and Facebook has access to that address book

    2. You added your previous company and dates on your profile and Facebook is simply making an assumption based upon the overlapping dates.

    3. Facebook has a pact with the devil and they know EVERYTHING!
