My wife, the physical therapist and excercise freak, will NOT use a pair of workout shoes for more than 6 months. They lose proper alignment and support according to her, but she uses them nearly every day.
I am allowed a new pair of hunting boots once every 15 years.
I can get two years out of a pair of sneakers if I wear them every third or fourth day.
