Office 2007

I want everyone reading to know I am actually crying at this very moment. Tears are rolling down my face. I AM SO FRUSTRATED BY THIS NEW OFFICE 2007 THAT I AM CRYING! All my quick key shortcuts are GONE! I customized the quick keys myself and they were apparently not ported over when the upgrade was performed. I WANT MY QUICK KEY SHORTCUTS BACK! I don’t even know where to find the spot where you create them. I CAN’T FIND ANYTHING!

And let me just say this… I HATE THOSE STUPID MOHAVE EXPERIMENT COMMERCIALS! I HATE THEM! Reminds me of the Folgers’ Crystals commercials from the 70’s. We replaced this man’s coffee with elephant piss…. I’ve tried Vista and it sucks… even worse than instant coffee.

I’m with you. I was forced to move to 2007 at work. I can’t find ANYTHING! I end up customizing the existing menus so I can find tools I use often, but just can’t find them in the STUPID ribbon menu. What dope came up with the concept of a ribbon menu?

I would love to know who came up with it so I can stick my foot down their throat! I think I am going to be doing the same thing because honestly, nothing is where I think it should be. Before, I knew where everything was– it made sense– DONE! Now I am click click clicking everywhere– I keep consulting the HELP menu and for some reason it rarely has the directions I need. I finally found my quick key customization menu– maybe I will just have to customize the entire keyboard — if just to keep my sanity.

I am *SO* with you. When they switched last year at my job, it created all kinds of chaos. I couldn’t get it to work in front of my “trainees” – if I hadn’t known the CTRL-keys it would have been far worse.

Why not just move your documents to your own PC for now?

    Good luck!

Millions of us live the Dilbert existence.

When things are bad, remember they can always be worse…go rent Office Space (1999), that classic satire on corporate ineptitude.
Just be sure not to rob a bank.
